Makroulakis Michalis

He studied at the Athenian Institute of Technology, in the workshops of Syros Vassilios, A. Tassos and Giannis Tsarouchis. He first worked as a set designer in various Athenian theaters. From 1971 to 1978 he lived in Tehran where he was influenced by Eastern culture and especially by the art of miniature. His works are characterized by an approach to accuracy and insistence on even the most extreme detail and a clear disposition of surrealistic correlations.
