Galtemis Chistodoulos

Born in Kostaniani in 1953, a small village in the region of Dodoni in the prefecture of Ioannina and on the old road connecting Ioannina with Paramythia, Christodoulos Galtemis showed from an early age his inclination to design and painting. Thus, he took his first lessons in painting during elementary school, under the tutelage of painter Georgios Kazakos from Giannena and later he studied painting in the Preliminary Workshop of the School of Fine Arts with Nikos Nikolaou. His main studies were completed in the Engraving Workshop of the school, where he was admitted first amongst all other candidates. He studied with a scholarship from the Giannis Kefallinos Foundation and the State Scholarships Foundation. His teacher in the Engraving Workshop was the great craftsman Costas Grammatolos.
